This article will discuss the top 5 QB I think are under the most pressure to perform well this season.
- Dak Prescott (DAL) Dak has played seven seasons with the Cowboys with four postseason appearances. However, Dak's record of 2-4, with those two wins only being in Wild Card games, does not live up to the Cowboys fan's standards. I am hearing from Cowboys fans the lack of success is starting to strain the franchise. So what does Dak need to do to keep his job in Dallas? Well, what is required is a deep run in the playoffs; last season, they had an excellent regular season with a record of 12-5 but were hilariously bounced from the playoffs. If Dak can bring Dallas a divisional championship, he will keep his job, and if anything less, he will be looking for a new home.
- Tua Tagovailoa (MIA) Tua has been with the Dolphins for three seasons. Tua's 23-13 record means little if he's not on the field. The big question circling the league is, is he healthy enough? Is he reliable? Can he stay healthy? Undoubtedly, the Dolphins' offense has some serious firepower, with the fastest WR core in the league: Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and newcomer Robbie Anderson.
- Russell Wilson (DEN) Russell has played foot for 11 seasons, 10 with the Seattle Seahawks and one miserable season with the Broncos. Yet, the question is, "Was the lack of success all Russell Wilson's fault?" Denver's first-year head coach struggled, and the roster suffered multiple notable injuries. But with five years $245 million-dollar contract and $165 million guaranteed with $124 million at signing, you expect a playoff appearance, not a 4-11 season. If Russell Wilson has another horrible season, his new position will be on the bench or as a youth pastor. I hope we see the return of the Super Bowl-winning Seattle Seahawks Russell Wilson this coming season.
- Deshaun Watson (CLE) Deshaun Watson has the second worst contract in the five years, 230 million with 230 guaranteed with a 44,965,000 signing bonus. After serving his 11-game suspension, he went 3-3. The Browns have a stud in Nick Chubb, a talented offensive line, and plenty of pass-catchers, including tight end David Njoku so for the Browns to not have success this season would be crazy, and Browns should look to offload that crazy contract. I hope the Browns know what they are doing and Deshaun wakes up balls out again.
- Mac Jones (NE) It hurts me to put this name on this list because I'm a Patriots fan, yet, I have to be authentic. The historic Belichek dynasties' future lies in this season and Mac Jone's hands. And it's a big year for Mac because the Pats have to decide on his fifth-year option in the offseason. The lack of success last season wasn't all on him. It didn't help that a defensive coordinator with a - head coaching record of 13–29–1 ran the offense. So for Mac to get paid and keep his job, the only option is to make the playoffs and have a deep run. Unfortunately for him, the AFC East has gotten more challenging, with Aaron Rogers joining the Jets. The AFC East is going to be a big challenge.
So Tell me what yall think. Are there other QBs that are under a ton of pressure? Leave a comment. I would like to know your thoughts.
